$50 For Each Disconnected Downspout

Many District homeowners have downspouts that connect directly to the storm drains.  To help keep that rainwater from flooding through the sewers, the District Department of the Environment and Rock Creek Conservancy are offering a $50 rebate for each downspout residents disconnect from the sewer, redirecting that water toward their lawn or garden.
