The
Brookland Neighborhood Civic Association is hosting a community picnic as an opportunity for Brooklanders to get together and learn about DC history and the push for DC statehood. It all happens on June 23rd, 2012 at the playground of Turkey Thicket Recreation Center, 1100 Michigan Avenue, NE from 11 AM - 1:00 PM. Those attending should bring a picnic lunch and a blanket.
